About the author and artist

Author: Conor O’Shea C.P.G.A., B.A
A graduate of Charleston Southern University where he played NCAA Division 1 golf, Conor is the golf brain child of two very important people: Howard Vroon, the Men’s Golf coach at Charleston Southern University; and Sean Foley, his swing instructor and mentor.
Through his work with the CJGA and the Junior Linksters program, Conor has learned that there is a considerable mental gap between those who have sustainable success in golf and those who are successfully unstable. The gap, he believes, is manifested in a learner’s early years of the sport. Learning at a young age how to deal with the ups and down of the game is the necessary foundation for progress. His mission in teaching, as well as with MGA, is to help develop the minds of future generations of golfers and inspire positive direction.

Artist: Brentton Barkman
A graduate of the highly coveted Sheridan College Animation program, Brentton has begun to pursue a career in animation. A small business owner, Brentton has done work for many local small businesses as well as larger established companies that have required graphic art design. Brentton’s love for creation, his artistic brilliance and his ability to understand the MGA vision made him a "can’t miss candidate" for this venture.
